Willow Grove Art Glass
About my studio and its unique location...
My studio, Willow Grove Art Glass, is located in the heart of South Jersey in the Willow Grove section of the farming community of Pittsgrove Township. Due to its sandy soil, South Jersey has deep traditions in glass and the history of glass production. I've grown up in this region, which is a place where almost everyone you knew had a family member that worked in the glass industry. Wheaton Arts, with the world's largest glass museum, still is a favorite place to visit and volunteer. While the times have changed and many of the factories have closed, there is still a deep tradition of glass in this area that has allowed glass art find its roots.
Willow Grove Art Glass specializes in a wide variety of fused glass and casting products. Studio equipment includes: several kilns of various sizes, complete cold working station, large glass cutting and assembly area, wax casting and mold making station, and sandblasting equipment. Future plans are under way to install a flame working station. My studio mascot is a little cat, named "Willow," that wandered into my life as a stray and is now queen of the castle!
